Organizational Development
Quite often, the communities with the greatest needs are precisely the ones that do not have a stock of capable organizations, and as a result, these communities may be overlooked by grantmaking agencies. Consequently, building the capacity of the local nonprofits and community-based organizations is crucial in addressing the contextual issues affecting the well-being of residents in the Inland Empire. This program is supported through funding from The California Wellness Foundation.
Funders and grantmaking institutions can be assured that the Latino Health Collaborative not only has the capacity to implement successful programs, but more importantly, is able to develop the capacity of other community partners. Under this Program Area, we have supported the launch of the San Bernardino Capacity Building Consortium, a conglomerate of major Management Support Organization (MSO), involved in organizational capacity building in the region.
